Need to know for sure that your client’s website meets accessibility standards?

You already care about creating accessible websites. You’ve worked on the color contrast, added the alt text, and done what you can with keyboard navigation. But when it comes to headings, focus order, motion, and other key accessibility requirements, you’re not so sure. As a web accessibility consultant, I help designers and developers like you to feel confident that the site you’re building meets WCAG guidelines, keeps clients protected, and gives every user the same inclusive experience. Need an accessibility expert on the job?

  • Catch issues before they hit production, saving you hours of fixes and redesign costs.
  • Help you interpret WCAG standards and figure out what actually applies to your specific project.
  • Provide clear explanations you can share with your clients (so you don’t have to play translator).
  • Give you peace of mind that what you’re delivering meets WCAG guidelines.

Hear from the teams I’ve supported

I’ve been lucky to work with thoughtful designers, developers, and agencies who care about doing this right. Here’s what they’ve shared about working together.

“This service will allow me to create more accessible websites.”

Adam Wright

“The Accessibility Audit received from Cheryl was incredibly helpful! As a designer/developer, I could easily digest the report and implement the changes right away. It was clean, easy to follow, and the added video recording walking through the changes is a huge bonus. Being able to leverage this service on my client projects will allow me to create more accessible websites, knowing I have Cheryl as a trusted resource to lean on.”

“I’d be crazy not to have her look over every build.”

Kyle Van Deusen
OGAL Web Design

“As a web agency owner, I know that building accessible websites is important. I do my best to understand the fundamentals, keep up with changes, and use best practices — but it’s impossible to get everything right. So when Cheryl mentioned she was offering accessibility audits, I was all over it.

I got my first report back from her (which was not only detailed and helpful — but came with a walkthrough video where she explained everything) and I’m blown away! All the information was well organized easy to digest, and actionable. Not only did it help make my latest project more accessible, it taught me about things to look out for on my next project.

This won’t be the last time I hire her — I’d be crazy not to have her look over every build before it goes live!”

How It All Works

We start with a quick chat about your project, then I’ll audit or review your site and record a video walkthrough. You’ll know exactly what to fix.

Get Started

Book a quick call over Zoom, and we’ll chat about your project, goals, and timeline. You’ll share files, links, or staging access, whatever I need to review.

Results & Remediation

I complete the audit or consultation and send a checklist of fixes. You can hand these off to your team or I can take care of them for an additional cost.

Ongoing Monitoring

If you’d like, I’ll keep an eye on things with monthly accessibility checks and reports. That way, everything stays up to standard as the site (and laws) evolve.

Need a Second Set of Eyes on Your Site’s Accessibility?

Book a quick call, share your goals, and walk away knowing exactly what to do to get your site up to the latest accessibility standards.

Let’s Answer What I Think You’ll Ask

These are the questions I get most often from designers, developers, and agencies. If you need more detail or want to chat through your site, reach out anytime.

When you build with accessibility in mind, everything else gets better too. Your code is cleaner, your designs are clearer, and your users can actually do what they came to do. It also means fewer fixes later, stronger performance, and better SEO, because accessible sites are built with solid structure from the start.

To me, accessibility isn’t an add-on or a checkbox. It’s what good design and development look like when you care about the people using your work.

A web accessibility consultant helps design and development teams make sure their work is usable by everyone and meets accessibility requirements. I’ve completed accessibility training and recently passed the CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) exam, which covers accessibility standards, assistive tech, and inclusive design principles.

Every audit follows the WCAG 2.1 AA standards and includes both automated and manual testing. I review completed designs (in Figma or similar) and finished builds in WordPress to catch accessibility issues before or after launch.

What I assess:

Design & visual elements

  • Color contrast
  • Font family, sizing, and spacing
  • Button and link styles
  • Form layout and labels

Development & structure

  • Heading structure and semantic HTML
  • Navigation and focus states
  • Motion, zoom, and responsiveness
  • Instructions and error messages

Content & media

  • Images, text, audio, and video elements
  • Forms and interactive components

You’ll get a written web accessibility audit report, a Loom video explaining it all, and a list of recommended fixes.

Either. Many teams use my notes to handle fixes themselves; others hire me to take care of remediation. We’ll do whatever makes sense for you and your team!

All audits and consulting are based on WCAG 2.1 AA, which is the standard referenced in most accessibility policies and web accessibility lawsuits.

They go hand in hand. Clean structure, proper headings, descriptive link text, and alt text all make your site easier for assistive technology and search engines to understand.

No one can promise that. But having an accessible site, a published accessibility statement, and a clear contact option for reporting issues goes a long way in reducing the risk! For what it’s worth, I’ve never worked on, built, or consulted on a site that’s faced legal action for accessibility issues.

Audits for small business or service-based sites start at $699. That covers a full review, report, and walkthrough video. Larger or more complex sites take a bit more time, but I’ll always give you a clear quote before we start.

If you’d like me to keep an eye on things after launch, ongoing accessibility monitoring starts at $127/month. It includes regular checks so new content or updates don’t undo your hard work.
