Fixes cost less when they’re caught early

Web accessibility consulting for agencies, designers, and developers who want to get it right before launch.

Tired of finding accessibility problems after the site is built?

A contrast issue in the brand palette. A heading structure chosen for looks that gives screen reader users a confusing outline. A custom menu nobody can reach with a keyboard. Found late, each of these means reopening approved designs and reworking code you’ve already billed for.

I work alongside your team during the project and test for accessibility as it moves forward. Designs get reviewed before development starts, and the staging site gets reviewed before launch. It’s a lot like a building inspection: the inspector checks the electrical before the drywall goes up, so nobody has to tear out finished walls.

What changes when accessibility starts in the design file?

When I’m part of the project from the start, you can:

  • Hand your client a design that’s already been checked for contrast, type size, heading structure, and focus states.
  • Build components right the first time, without a long remediation list waiting at the end.
  • Keep your timeline intact, because a fix in the design file happens in minutes.
  • Watch your team spot more of these issues on their own with every project.

That last one matters to me. I want the agencies I work with to need me less over time.

What Agencies Say

I’ve been lucky to work with thoughtful designers, developers, and agencies who care about doing this right. Here’s what they’ve shared about working together.

“This service will allow me to create more accessible websites.”

Adam Wright
Adam Wright Design

“The Accessibility Audit received from Cheryl was incredibly helpful! As a designer/developer, I could easily digest the report and implement the changes right away. It was clean, easy to follow, and the added video recording walking through the changes is a huge bonus. Being able to leverage this service on my client projects will allow me to create more accessible websites, knowing I have Cheryl as a trusted resource to lean on.”

“I’d be crazy not to have her look over every build.”

Kyle Van Deusen
OGAL Web Design

“As a web agency owner, I know that building accessible websites is important. I do my best to understand the fundamentals, keep up with changes, and use best practices — but it’s impossible to get everything right. So when Cheryl mentioned she was offering accessibility audits, I was all over it.

I got my first report back from her (which was not only detailed and helpful — but came with a walkthrough video where she explained everything) and I’m blown away! All the information was well organized easy to digest, and actionable. Not only did it help make my latest project more accessible, it taught me about things to look out for on my next project.

This won’t be the last time I hire her — I’d be crazy not to have her look over every build before it goes live!”

What’s Included

Design Review

Before your client sees the design

I review your completed designs in Figma (or your design tool of choice) for each page template.

  • Color contrast for text, buttons, icons, and focus states
  • Type sizes, spacing, and readability
  • Heading structure and content order
  • Link and button styles, including hover and focus states
  • Form layout, labels, and error message placement

Build Review

Before your client sees the staging site

Once the templates are built, I test them the way real visitors will use them.

  • Keyboard navigation and focus order
  • Screen reader testing of menus, forms, sliders, accordions, and modals
  • Semantic HTML, landmarks, and ARIA use
  • Zoom, reflow, and motion
  • Form validation and error announcements

Confirm & Launch

Before the site goes live

After your team makes the fixes, I check them and confirm what’s resolved.

  • A recheck of every issue flagged in the design and build reviews
  • A list of anything still open, with notes on what’s left
  • A closing summary you can share with your client or keep on file

When the project wraps up, you get a closing summary of everything that was found and fixed.

Every review comes with plain-English notes mapped to WCAG 2.2 AA, plus screenshots where they help.

How It All Works

It’s easier to change a color or a component before your client has fallen in love with it. I review each stage of the project before your client does, so everything they see has already been checked.

Get Started

We talk through the project, your timeline, and how many unique templates the site has. I schedule each review around your milestones and send notes within 5 business days.

Design Review

Send me the design file ahead of your client presentation. You’ll get notes and screenshots in time to make adjustments, so the design your client approves is already accessible.

Build Review

Share staging access once the templates are built and before your client walks through the site. I test each template and send notes on anything that needs attention.

Confirm & Launch

I review your fixes once and send a closing summary. You launch the site knowing it’s been checked at every stage.

Investment

Starts at $1,800 for up to 5 page templates.

Additional templates are $250 each.

Pricing is based on unique page templates, not page count. A 20-page site might only use five templates (home, service, contact, blog post, archive) because most interior pages share the same components.

Let’s Answer What I Think You’ll Ask

These are the questions I get most often from designers, developers, and agencies. If you need more detail or want to ask questions specific to your site, reach out anytime.

A template is a unique page layout. Pages that share the same structure and components count once. A home page, a services page, a contact page, a blog post, and an archive page are five templates. Ten service pages built on the same layout count as one.

An audit tests a finished site and delivers a full PDF report, ranked by severity. Consulting spreads the testing across the project, so issues get fixed before your client ever sees them. The documentation is lighter: written notes, screenshots, and a closing summary.

Either. Many teams use my notes to handle the fixes themselves. Others hire me for remediation, which I quote separately once I’ve seen what needs to change. We’ll figure out what makes sense for you and your team.

Small tweaks are fine. If a template changes significantly or a new one gets added, we’ll talk about scope changes before I review it, so there are no surprise costs.

No. I work with your team, and my notes are written so you can share them with your client if that’s helpful.

Access to the design file, then staging access once templates are built. A quick heads-up when each milestone is ready keeps everything moving.

Most of my build reviews are on WordPress sites, but I test the front end, so the platform matters less than you’d think. Ask if you’re working with something else.

Not at all. We can start at the build review, or look at a post-launch audit once you’re live. Book a call and we’ll figure out the best entry point.
